Falcon TV Repairs handles the whole relocation: we remove the dish and bracket from your old property, patch the mounting holes neatly, transport everything with your other planning in mind, and re-install at the new address with a fresh alignment. You get a fixed price quoted upfront before we touch a single bolt.
Renovations create their own version of the problem. Painters, waterproofers and roof contractors regularly need the dish out of the way, and a dish that gets loosened and casually bolted back is almost never pointing at the satellite afterwards. We coordinate with your building schedule, remove the dish before the contractors start, and return to re-mount and re-align it once the work is done, so nobody on site is guessing at angles.

WhatsApp a photoCan you take the dish down at one house and install it at another on the same day?
Yes, for moves within Gauteng that is our standard approach. We strip the old installation in the morning or as your movers finish, then re-mount and align at the new address the same day. If the two properties are far apart we simply plan the visit around your moving schedule so you are not without TV overnight.
Can my existing dish, LNB and decoder be reused at the new house?
Usually, yes. If the dish is straight and rust-free, the LNB tests healthy and the decoder is a current model, we reuse the lot and you only pay for the labour and any fresh fixings or cable. If something is marginal we will show you the fault and let you decide before we re-install it.
The builders bumped our dish during renovations. Is that a relocation job?
If the dish only needs to be re-pointed, that is a straightforward re-alignment rather than a full relocation, and it costs less. If the mount was loosened, moved or damaged, we re-secure or re-position it properly and then align. Either way we quote a fixed price upfront once we have seen what the contractors left behind.
Do you repair the holes left at the old property?
We remove the bracket and fixings and leave the wall or roof tidy, sealing the old bolt holes with an appropriate filler or sealant so the property does not take in water. If your lease or sale agreement requires a specific standard of making good, mention it when you book and we will plan for it.
Is the work at the new address guaranteed?
Yes. The re-installation carries the same written workmanship guarantee as a brand-new install, covering the mounting, cabling and alignment. If the signal drifts or a fitting we made gives trouble within the guarantee period, we come back and put it right at no charge. Faults inside aged equipment we simply re-used are excluded, and we flag any such risks before fitting.
Is it ever cheaper to start fresh rather than relocate old equipment?
Sometimes. If your dish is badly corroded or the coax at the old house is perished, paying us to transport and re-fit failing hardware is money wasted. In those cases we will recommend replacing the cheap components — often just the dish or cable — while still reusing your decoder and subscription, which usually works out better over time.
