OpenView is a satellite service you pay for once — you buy and install the decoder and dish, and after that there’s no monthly subscription. The channel line-up is smaller than DStv’s, but for a lot of households, a second home, a granny flat or a tight budget, it’s exactly the right answer.
The installation itself is much like DStv: a dish mounted with a clear line of sight, an LNB fitted and sealed, quality cable run neatly to the decoder, and then a channel scan and setup. Done properly, it’s a set-and-forget system that just works.

OpenView is a once-off purchase with no monthly subscription and a smaller channel selection. DStv is a monthly service with a much wider channel choice. We install and repair both — tell us what you watch and we’ll recommend honestly.
Is OpenView really free after installation?
There’s no monthly subscription — you pay once for the decoder, dish and installation. After that the channels are free to watch. It’s popular for second homes, flats and budget-conscious households.
Can you install OpenView the same day?
Yes — same-day OpenView installation is standard across Gauteng. If we can’t reach you today we’ll book the earliest slot.
Can I use my existing DStv dish for OpenView?
Often, yes — where the dish position and LNB suit OpenView we can set it up on your existing dish, which keeps the cost down. We’ll confirm on site.
How many channels does OpenView have?
