PSU RIPPLE
Ripple from Tired Capacitors

LVDS
The Loose Cable Culprit
The LVDS cable carrying picture data to the panel can work loose or oxidise, causing sparkles, dropouts and full blink-outs. Re-seating, cleaning or replacing it is a quick and satisfying cure.

Could my HDMI cable or decoder be causing the flicker?
Absolutely, and it is one of the first things we check. Damaged leads, failing decoder outputs and refresh-rate mismatches all produce convincing flicker. We substitute known-good cables and sources during assessment. If the television itself proves healthy, you pay for the visit and honest answer, not for a repair the set never needed.
